Coyotes are one hell of an animal. Even though they may look like dogs, they are definitely not like them.

While Coyote mating season is actually from January through March, now's the time to continue being on the lookout, especially if you're letting your pets out in the yard to enjoy the nice summer weather.

You can always hear them at night and when they're in their packs. Just recently, I was scrolling on social media and came across this post that caught my eye. A Connecticut resident posted to the Connecticut Audubon Bird/Nature Photos Facebook group and it was a picture that ended up getting a lot of attention.

Joanne from Woodbridge showed off the pack of Coyotes sitting in her backyard saying, "be very careful with your animals this time of year! Just took this in our backyard in Woodbridge."

Wow! What an insane picture! You never really see a pack of coyotes like that lined up and just hanging out in your backyard. This is the perfect opportunity to re-address how important it is to make sure your pets are supervised at this time of year.

It's easy to let them in your backyard to hangout in the sun, but this is a reminder that at any point, a pack can come up and use your yard as their hangout spot for a little bit.
