It was a completely different world 5 years ago this week in Connecticut. Remember how nervous you were the first time you went grocery shopping?

What were you doing in April 2020? Most of us were trying to figure out if the world was ever going to come back to what it was just 6 weeks prior. Connecticut was just about to lift the first COVID-19 lockdown of our lifetime at the end of April into May of 2020, and the first of many adaptations to our everyday lives just appeared in our world. Many businesses, especially restaurants, bars, and live entertainment venues shuttered for good.

I went back through my camera roll and found my first encounter with something completely different at the time. These were all taken between March and May of 2020.

Where were you five years ago this week? Washing your hands every five minutes? Standing at least six feet away from your neighbor? Connecticut was locked down longer than most states in the US. I took a few photos of what we experienced during that moment in time. All of these were taken between March and May of 2020.
