Hey Willy Wonka fans of Connecticut: There are 3 'Golden Tickets' hidden inside three grocery stores here in Connecticut, and I know where to look.

All of my life I've dreamed of finding a 'Golden Ticket' inside a special chocolate bar, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory came out in 1971, and it was one of my favorite movies as a child. I've never given up the dream of finding a Golden Ticket in 50 years. Once in a while, a fellow Wonka superfan will use this legendary marketing technique, like Stew Leonard's, they're doing it right now.

Stew Leonard's has announced via their social media that they've hidden 8 Golden Tickets (One in each of their locations) inside their Stew Leonard's Dubai Chocolate Bars. If you are one of the lucky ones to find one of these Golden Tickets, you will win a jumbo Dubai Chocolate Bar that was handcrafted by Connecticut's own master chocolatier Fritz Knipschildt.

According to Stew's, only one Golden Ticket has been found so far (As of 6-18-25), and it was discovered at the Stew Leonard's in Yonkers. That means that there are three Golden Tickets in Connecticut - Stew Leonard's - Danbury, Stew Leonard's - Newington, and Stew Leonard's - Norwalk. I can almost hear the footsteps of little Augustus Gloop's amd Veruca Salt's in Darien bothering their tired parents.

Dubai Chocolate Bars are the hottest sweet in the world right now thanks to Tik Tok, they were dreamed up in the past five years and now they're all over Connecticut. It's a chocolate bar filled with a green mixture of pistachio, tahini, and kadayif. I haven't tried it yet, most of the bars I've seen are $20, but the chance at a jumbo? I'm in.

A $200,000 grant from the State of Connecticut will be given to Naugatuck for an assessment on the former Peter Paul Cadbury site on New Haven Road. 18 years after it's closure, here's a look back at the property every few years since it's closure in 2007

Ranking the Five Worst Parking Lots on Main Street in Watertown

Watertown has a population of just over 22,000 according to the most recent cencus, and it seems like everyone in town goes nowhere except Main Street (Rt. 63). Parking lots are always busy, and space is tight. I do not like driving through these five parking lots in particular.
