Recent reports have highlighted numerous drone sightings over New Jersey, capturing the attention of residents in the surrounding states. Citizens throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut have observed clusters of drone-like objects flying at low altitudes during nighttime hours. According to a report on Forbes.com, these sightings have created quite a buzz as people speculate about the nature and purpose of these aerial phenomena.

To get an alternate viewpoint regarding the drone situation, I clicked on the U.S. Department of Defense website to find out what they were reporting. The article was dated December 14th. 2024.

To date, we have no intelligence or observations that would indicate that they were aligned with a foreign actor or that they had malicious intent, But ... we don't know. We have not been able to locate or identify the operators or the points of origin.

According to a recent article published by Hearst Connecticut Media dated December 13, 2024, similar drone sightings have emerged over the skies of Connecticut. According to Commissioner Ronnell A. Higgins from the Connecticut State Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection stated: "After the reports out of New Jersey and other states, we want to assure Connecticut residents that we are fully engaged, and we take reports of suspicious sightings seriously,"

Yadda, Yadda, Yadda! Here's my question: have you seen a drone or a cluster of drones in the Connecticut skies? If so, what are your thoughts on what these drones are up to? When Kaitlan Collins from CNN asked astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson about the recent unexplained drone sightings in New Jersey, Tyson said, "Of all the places on Earth, they picked New Jersey?" Check out the entire interview on YouTube produced by CNN.

Connecticut is also reporting various drone sightings, and according to state officials, they've begun rolling out a drone detection system. The following YouTube video is courtesy of 9NEWS.

Connecticut Reddit users have been weighing in with their thoughts about the drone flyovers.

Savings-anything40 - This won't last long. Those drones will get so bored in Connecticut and be out of there soon.

Shut73r - Was out last night sky watching and def saw some things that made me question what they were. Bright light on the horizon that was moving towards me, then cut towards the ocean. Solid white light, no navigation lights. Then what I think were two small fast moving jets (maybe private jets?) But they seemed way too small and fast. Haven't seen anything like that in my area before moving that fast.

pOlarOid - There's a friggin airport directly to the east! Nothing about this seems anomalous! They look like airplanes because they are airplanes for f###Ksakes!

Gunners414 - My guess is whatever they are, they're mapping the US starting at the East Coast. They're going to do it until the govt actually puts a stop to it and I don't think they will be able to do that as easily/quickly as everyone would like. Or they're just US tech and giving us the middle finger. Both seem equally plausible to me at this point. Trust in govt is being eroded even further with this

Toner1980 - Those look like planes. People are seriously are seriously nuts, every day, I think more and more, this is nothing but mass hysteria

Dry_Handle3469 - They said on the news the gov has given the police departments drones in New York two weeks ago now this week we have drones everywhere with red blue and super bright white lights but the nypd is not acknowledging the public or the news because they know !!!

Feel free to weigh in on 'Drones Over Connecticut,' especially if you've witnessed one first hand.
